uweeeeh ;________;

7-11 fired me. Again. They told me they couldn't afford to keep fixing the stupid microwaves after they exploded. It's not my fault evil technological fairies are out to get me and blow up the microwaves while I use them! D= 7 and 11 must be my unlucky numbers. Uwaah, I hope I don't walk under a ladder on July 11th or something. ._. That would just be bad.

But yeah. Little disappointed. Exploding microwaves or not, I really liked that job. It was tiring, but all the customers were really nice! And the homeless guy on the corner! During my lunchbreak I'd get him a sandwich and we'd talk about kittens and rainbows and why God created pain. I'll miss him. ;_;

But I can still visit him! And all the other people! There's always hope! =D And I started looking for new jobs today, too. Put in my application at some place called "The Gentleman's Video Emporium." It seems kind of silly to have a video store only for men, but who knows, maybe there's one for women too! And a job's a job. Not sure if I'll get it or not, but the guy who took my application said I'd definitely be called back for an interview! =D

And now, back to homework! =D

That's real kind of you, feeding a poor homeless guy and talking to him. I bet he never gets to talk to anybody.

Though, y'know, that video emporium thing sounds pretty boring for you, can't imagine a nice girl like you has any interest in guy movies. But, if you really want the job, I could give you a few pointers for the interview. I'm a bit of a consultant like that.

I'm sure other people talked to him too! He was a very nice man. Is. >.>; Verb tenses are weird.

No such thing as a boring job! If it gets me a paycheck, it's a-okay with me!

Pointers? =D? You're so nice! Thank you so much!

Don't let the others put you down, you work wherever your heart wants you to work. Otherwise, it's no fun!

Yeah, just basic ones. How to survive an interview, things like that. I've got a line on the right kinds of clothes to wear and all that.

I'm not sure I want to work in a pornography store, though. My brother always told me the girls in those movies are really unhappy and that I shouldn't go near them.

But I could still use the interview help, if you're still willing to help me! =D

I'm not entirely sure you'd enjoy working at a gentleman's video store...

Eeeeh? Why not? D=

The videos they have there are entirely... inappropriate for ladies to work around.

They're just videos. D=

No.... they're not...

Ahhh... I just don't see you working at a pornography shop.

You really shouldn't work at that store, way too many guys hang around there who might want to hurt you, or do worse.

[info]tyrano_inoue

Why would guys renting movies want to hurt me?

You do know what a men's movie store is, right?

[info]tyrano_inoue

July 4 2006, 21:26:40 UTC 5 years ago

A store where men go to rent videos, of course!

The video's aren't... decent. You should look for other places to work.

There's a starbuck's near campus, maybe you could check there?

I highly doubt it will reflect well on this establishment if our students are found working in a place like that. May I suggest looking for employment elsewhere?

I feel your pain with technology, its like electronics were made to be completely evil to you...

A Gentleman's Store doesn't sound like a good place to work. You've got such a great personality, I'm sure you could find work someplace better.

I'm sure they're not really evil! Maybe there's just been a misunderstanding. We should get together with them and have tea and discuss our differences.

Eehee, it's actually a little hard for me to find work. x3; I think I have an "Incompetant" tattoo on my head that only potential employers can see. D= It's really inconvenient. But someday!

That would be nice... I guess? I don't know many microwaves that drink tea, or drink anything for that matter. If you had one you could probably sell it and then you'd never have to work again...

That'd be nice....

I'm the same way with getting hired, the only reason I had work when I was in high school was because it was for people who'd known me for a long time. (Sometimes there is and advantage to being from a small town).

Have you thought about working through the school? I'm sure your counciler would be able to set you up working somewhere on campus, like me working at the library.

But if a microwave could drink tea, then it would be a sentient being, and selling it would be slavery! DDD=

Eh? There's a counselor? x3;;; I'm so stupid! Thank you! I'll talk to her. Him. Both. o.O We need gender-neutral pronouns...
